New Autumn Wine Arrivals
I've been meaning to add these wines to the website for a few months now, but the timing seemed to be absolutely perfect this week with slightly cooler temperatures and earlier evenings.
They are wines I have known for years, but one in particular is close to my heart, a wine that can make us all proud, Les Deux Cols, which is a genuine Irish success story and a stunning wine to boot!
Chianti from two subzones show stellar complexity and balance in Selvapiana and Felsina Berardenga, while a lowly "Chianti", outside any named subzone, is actually made like a baby Brunello!
There's also this beauty, the Capezzana, Barco Reale Di Carmignano from the historic commune stuck on the back of a Tuscan hill...
And one more Rhone red, the Clos de Caveau Vacqueyras "Carmin Brillant", completes my mini-harvest for the week and I love it to bits. Gutsy, powerful, elegant and organic and only made from Grenache and Syrah.
