A glass of Portuguese sunshine, this is an authentic, charming and amiably direct wine with generous flavours of citrus fruits highlighted by floral notes and a zingy, mouthwatering acidity that will make you keep coming back for more!
2. Badajo, Verdejo, Spain
This is a really great Verdejo that delivers freshness and typical ripe fruit flavours with lovely balancing richness, making it great for matching with food, too.
3. Pelissero, Dolcetto d'Alba "Munfrina", Italy
An Allotment exclusive! This is a beautiful, fresh and lively wine, full of pure blackberry and cherry flavours, with a richness and complexity that is compelling and engaging. The natural Dolcetto acidity keeps the wine refreshing and makes your mouth water, making you come back for more and more. It matches north Italian food perfectly and is an unfettered, unfussy and delicious.
4. Dorli Muhr, Carnuntum Cuvée, Austria
A wine that will become a fried - this comes from one of Austria's most loved and highly-rated wine makers and is a blend that will convert you to cooler reds for life! Full of black berry and ripe red fruit flavours, this is a smooth and mouth-filling red that is bright, fresh and complex.
5. Olga Raffault, Chinon, Loire Valley, France
This is one of the great classic red wine styles that still sits under most radars - a Cabernet Franc that is possibly one of the greatest matches for goose, duck, goat's cheese or pâté, it has a truly romantic story behind it that shows how positivity and goodness can come out of a war...
6. Yves Cuilleron, Syrah Viogner 'Signé', Rhône Valley, France
Made from the same recipe as Côte Rotie but at a fraction of the price, this is a stunning red from Cuilleron, who is one of the most-recognised and celebrated wine makers in the Rhône Valley today. Svelte, rich and yet incredibly light in alcohol, it shows the skill of the man and the quality of the materials. A real treat.
