A breath-taking red that is complex, refined, aged and age-worthy. This single-vineyard Reserva will make you long for a bigger bottle, more time and the best company that you can imagine. This is multi-award-winning wine from a wonderful region and a wonderful man.
Made from the oldest and highest altitude plots of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines in this vineyard, the wine that comes out of these grapes is then aged for a minimum of eight years before release. Staying in a commination of French and American oak barriques for up to a year and a half, the wine is then bottled and left for years, in order to mature, soften its tannins and develop the incredible layers of complexity that mark its wonderful quality.
Flavours of black fruits, crushed strawberries, cocoa, spice and a mineral balance, this is a very serious wine that, though released ready to drink, is capable of decades of ageing. The flagship wine of the Bodega, this is divine-like in its completeness with not an edge in sight; a long, flavour-filled finish that you'd expect from any of the top regions of Europe, but never at this quite astonishing price.
